Have A Large Forehead? Not To Worry
Having a large forehead is sometimes a reality and at other times is an overly exaggerated picture of yourself, or of someone else. Different people have different facial structures, some have large noses, others small noses, some have large foreheads, others narrow foreheads. Often, the difference between average and large isn't that much. While a large forehead may simply be how you choose to define it, some people do have large foreheads, and some have abnormally large foreheads.
What To Do About It? - To some, a large forehead can make the rest of a person's face seem out of proportion or small. To others, the large forehead is a sign of intelligence, as if an already large brain is ready to burst through and become even larger. Then of course, there are those whose forehead is steadily growing larger as their hairline recedes into the distance. One can either take advantage of what seems to be a larger than normal forehead, exploiting the fact that some regard it as a sign of great wisdom, or one can check out various hairstyles to see what style might best make the forehead appear smaller.
We don't want to cover the forehead completely though, although some may try. Due in part to the thin layer of muscles in the forehead lying between the scalp and the skull, the forehead is capable of conveying a wide range of expressions, especially by controlling the positioning of the eyebrows. If you choose to cover a part of your forehead, check first to make certain that those expressions which help define your personality aren't lost in the process.
See Your Local Physiognomist - Astrologers and physiognomists have a great deal to say about foreheads. Whether they know what they're talking about is arguable, but what they have to say can sometimes be quite interesting. Personally, the shape of ones forehead may not mean much more than the bumps on the top of one's skull. Still, if one has a large forehead and others have good things to say about it, the person with the large forehead could certainly receive a big boost in self esteem.
Those having a large, and full forehead are said to be very idealistic, and have lofty goals. Also people with large foreheads tend to be friendly, and often make good companions. We often associate a large forehead with intelligence. The term egghead does not normally convey an image of a person with a very narrow or shallow forehead. The person with a large forehead is said to be one who takes everything in, rather than focusing on a single task or objective. Broad foreheads in one sense are associated with open-mindedness.
Bangs And Hats - It's probably fair to say that women may be a little more sensitive to having a large forehead that men are, but there are certainly many women in the world of celebrities who have large foreheads, don't try to disguise the fact, and are extremely attractive to boot. If they really want to disguise that characteristic part of their facial structure, wearing bangs is usually quite effective. Bangs don't work quite so well on men, though some try, others wear a hat. Women with long hair can often do wonders by either partially covering their forehead, or simply wearing a hairstyle that frames the face in such a manner that the forehead doses not appear out of proportion.
There is one thing worth bearing in mind. If you have what you believe to be a large forehead, others may indeed notice it at first. Once they get to know you, even a little, they probably won't notice it any more, and are unlikely to comment on it to others in any event. We all have our little imperfections, and a larger than usual forehead is certainly not among the worst, it’s far better than the Neanderthal look.
